How we speak to one another matters deeply. Even when conversations become difficult, emotional, or intense our goal should be to communicate in a way that leaves the other person's dignity intact.

Think about a time when you felt humiliated, diminished, dismissed, or misunderstood. What insight from the experience could you share that might help someone else navigate a difficult conversation while preserving both their dignity and the dignity of the person in front of them?
