- ➤ Local builder Nannette Chandler is forming a Pensacola Preservation Guild to pool community funds for saving historic homes like Fairnie Hall. She announced her plans last week at the Architectural Review Board meeting and will soon propose a preservation plan to the City Council. Pensacola News Journal
- ➤ On Feb. 25, organizers and local business owner Lee Cartledge backed a plan to add a twice-monthly Sunday market at Palafox Market. The proposal aims to boost community activity with extra market days. Pensacola News Journal

- ➤ Boom Chick opened in Pensacola on Feb. 6, offering crispy chicken, customizable sauces, burgers, and sandwiches at its 8710 Pensacola Blvd. location.
