- ➤ On Monday, Mar. 9, AAA reported that Pensacola gas prices averaged $3.14 per gallon, among the lowest in the Panhandle + rates in Santa Rosa and Escambia counties remained similarly low while prices in Monroe and Palm Beach were higher amid rising national costs following the Iran war. - ➤ Tate High School’s Lelah Landy was named Escambia and Santa Rosa County High School Student of the Week for March 2–6 with 36.12% of the vote (runner up Ty’kieara Turner received 24.65%), and voting for next week begins today. Pensacola News Journal
- ➤ The University of West Florida hosts the Askew Lecture Series at the Museum of Commerce downtown on Thursday, April 9. Dr. Erik Mobrand will speak on East Asia and democracy with a reception at 5:30 p.m., lecture at 6 p.m., and a Q&A scheduled for 7 p.m. (free event) University of West Florida
