- ➤ GE Vernova's Pensacola-made turbines will power 85,000+ Texas homes and create hundreds of American jobs after the company signed a deal with RWE to deliver 109 onshore wind turbines for two Texas wind farm projects, with deliveries starting later this year. - ➤ A Pensacola man, 25-year-old Stephon Dewaunn Dudley, Jr., got a 25-year sentence for a 2023 carjacking at a Whataburger that ended in a fatal crash after a police chase — he was convicted of carjacking with a firearm and robbery with a deadly weapon — Judge John Simon handed down the sentence. - ➤ On Tuesday night, a 48-year-old Pensacola man was arrested on DUI and hit-and-run charges after he crashed his Dodge pickup truck into a police SUV on Creighton Road during a search for a stolen car; officers said a 25-year-old was injured and the driver, on his third DUI offense in over-10 years, fled but was caught a few blocks away.
