- ➤ On March 20, gas prices in Florida fell slightly from $3.951 to $3.950, keeping averages below $4 a gallon despite higher rates in other states, and Pensacola drivers continue to find lower prices at select local stations. Pensacola News Journal

- ➤ Escambia County students built STEM skills with a week-long aviation program at the National Flight Academy — a partnership with Escambia County Public Schools. The second-year initiative, now benefiting over 436 students, will serve more than 520 by year-end. Pensacola News Journal

- ➤ A dredging project by Manson Construction began in early March and is refreshing Pensacola Beach with 1.5 cubic yards of sand spread over eight miles. Collectors enjoy decorative seashell finds while contractors advise visitors to keep clear of fenced work areas, and the work will finish before May. WEAR-TV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ NAS Pensacola announced that starting Monday, March 23, public visitation will be closed on weekdays until further notice. Visitors can access public areas on weekends from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. if they pass security at the Visitor Control Center — Department of War ID holders are exempt. WEAR-TV
