- ➤ Bright Bridge Ministries is set to add 40 beds to its shelter that currently houses 50 men and will host the 'Bridge to Tomorrow' kickoff event on April 1st at 12:30 p.m.—Renovations are expected to cost between $1.25 million and $1.5 million to expand essential services for homeless men battling addiction. - ➤ Pensacola officials face a last-minute challenge with the Gen. 'Chappie' James monument project as a June agreement expires and legal threats over $750,000 in tourism tax dollars persist—Escambia County voted to approve $875,000 amid objections from the Tourist Development Council. Mayor Reeves has proposed moving the monument from Wayside Park to Veterans Memorial Park to avoid a legal fight—however, the memorial foundation rejected that change. Pensacola News Journal
