A new organization called Envision Perdido is seeking residents' input on community development and environmental protection by holding meetings with local groups in the coming weeks.

The group’s effort follows a failed incorporation proposal in 2023 that led to ongoing discussions on local planning.

Heavy rains on Sunday led to flash floods that forced Pensacola Regional Airport to cancel all flights—flooded streets near Pensacola State College and Palafox Street worsened the impact—and flash flood warnings remained in effect until 8:30 p.m.
