  • The National Weather Service warns of dangerous rip current and high surf conditions on Pensacola beaches today through Thursday following recent drownings — beachgoers are urged to avoid the surf and follow posted safety guidelines.  Pensacola News Journal

  • Pensacola’s biggest private investment needs a 20-year TIF rebate for its $280M mixed-use project on Community Maritime Park’s last vacant waterfront lot to meet lender return targets.   • Pensacola Habitat for Humanity broke ground today on Hancock Meadows, a 33-home neighborhood that includes 6 rental units for military families.   • Pensacola Beach hosts the 10th annual Firefighters Challenge on Friday, April 10 and Saturday, April 11 at Casino Beach; a five-station obstacle course tests skills.
