  • Pensacola Navy Days returns this spring to honor our military heritage as Gallery Night on April 18 set the stage for a Blue Wahoos game on April 24, a golf tournament and Night at the Museum Gala on May 9, and a 4K run, parade and fun fest on May 10. CRIME NEWS

  • A 24-year-old Pensacola man was charged with murder, firing a weapon in public, and weapon possession by a convicted felon after a fatal shooting occurred outside 8Fifty Event Center in Escambia County on Saturday morning around 2:30 a.m.—the sheriff’s office is seeking two witnesses.  WEAR-TV

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The University of West Florida placed second in the 2024 CAE-CD Community Outreach Award Competition—an honor given for its cybersecurity outreach programs announced during the symposium in Charleston from April 8-10. This marks the third straight year UWF ranked among the top two of over 450 designated institutions with programs that train veterans, government workers and students.  University of West Florida
  • UWF earned national recognition after finishing second in the 2024 CAE-CD Community Outreach Award Competition for its cybersecurity outreach program, marking its third consecutive national honor.
