ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ In 2020, four-month-old Nataley Seich died at a registered in-home daycare in Pace after unsafe sleep conditions caused her to stop breathing (the daycare provider was not charged), and her parents now push for stricter oversight to prevent similar tragedies. Pensacola News Journal
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Cindy and Rodney Daniels have partnered with Shadows of Strength to share new clues about their missing daughter Tiffany Daniels, a 25-year-old theatre technician who vanished on Aug. 12 after leaving work at Pensacola State College and whose gray Toyota Forerunner was later found near Fort Pickens — the family now suspects she may have been harmed by someone she knew or that an accident occurred. - ➤ A Pensacola man, Samuel Bargerhuff, 33, pleaded no contest and was sentenced on April 16 to 21 years in state prison — he will serve 15 years of sex offender probation for possessing images that showed the sexual abuse of children and an animal, with the materials found during a May 24, 2024 search of his home. Pensacola News Journal
- ➤ A Pensacola man, Michael Devon Johnson Sr., 56, was sentenced to 30 years in prison with 10 years probation on April 16 for sexual battery and contributing to the delinquency of a child by impregnating a minor — court records show he entered a no contest plea in March. Pensacola News Journal
- ➤ A 34-year-old man named Kyle Miller was arrested for homicide today after he allegedly stabbed a man in the neck during a welfare check on the 1200 block of Barmel Street; an autopsy later found two stab wounds that caused the man's death and investigators reported Miller was the victim's roommate. WEAR-TV

- ➤ Pensacola will borrow up to $100 million to pay for a 50,000-square-foot expansion at Pensacola International Airport; the City Council will vote on the bond resolutions on April 24, and the project will add a five-gate concourse next year and expand the TSA security area this summer—helping the airport manage record-setting passenger growth. Pensacola News Journal
- ➤ Pensacola is building a smaller final ST Engineering hangar that may lower the number of jobs at the site—city officials have not yet finalized plans with the company and funding partners. The City Council will vote on the $35.4 million contract for the hangar's design and construction on April 24. Pensacola News Journal
- ➤ State senators are set to vote on Senate Bill 80 that would require public hearings on state park plans and stop major developments+ The bill passed the House unanimously and cleared committee, and it will be reconciled with the House version before heading to the governor.
