- ➤ The Gulf Winds Foundation hosted its second annual Chip in Fore Charity golf tournament at Stonebrook Golf Course in Pace—where teams competed in a scramble contest featuring a $10,000 hole-in-one challenge—and raised over $78,000 to support its scholarship program and local non-profits. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Jerry Keane Foster Jr. was found guilty on June 4th of first degree premeditated murder for fatally shooting his cousin Jarvis Johnson from Pensacola on Sept. 9th, 2023 (the dispute had been ongoing for months) and was sentenced to life in prison by Judge John Simon. Pensacola News Journal

- ➤ ReadyKids! invites Escambia County families with rising kindergartners to join its Kindergarten, Here We Come! sessions—where parents learn practical tips and children enjoy hands-on activities with free childcare and a meal provided. Sessions will be held in June at two locations—Global Learning Academy, 100 N P St on June 10–11 and Ferry Pass Elementary, 8310 N Davis Hwy on June 17–18, with events running from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. WEAR-TV
