- ➤ Escambia EMS approved 10 full-time paramedic positions and a logistics chief at the county board meeting on June 5—staff they say will ease long-standing shortages and improve response times for over 300,000 residents. - ➤ Pensacola Energy customers will get automatic checks from a $15.9 million settlement following a nearly decade-long lawsuit over illegal fees — active customers will receive $8.946 million automatically and former customers must file claims for $3.654 million — while the Pensacola City Council will approve the payment plan on June 12.
