- ➤ Planet Fitness will move from its Ensley gym to a new 19,315 square foot facility on East Nine Mile Road scheduled to open on Sept. 2, and the former club will likely close the week before. - ➤ A domestic disturbance on Saturday night on the 100 block of West Avery Street ended in a two-hour standoff that injured two people—one woman with a gunshot wound is stable at a local hospital and the suspect, who hurt himself, is receiving treatment as police continue their investigation. - ➤ Federal agents executed search warrants on July 23 at Emerald Coast Lawns in Navarre and arrested two Mexican men accused of illegally reentering the country, with one man also charged for using fraudulent employment authorization documents & a false permanent resident card. FOX 10

- ➤ Century has created a town administrator position to improve government operations after years of leadership turnover — town leaders aim to rebuild public trust and modernize local services. A selection committee reviewed 17 applicants and will recommend a candidate by August — the new administrator will help oversee projects like the water and sewer utility system.
