Hundreds of families received groceries and school supplies at Marcus Pointe Baptist Church during a back-to-school event hosted by Feeding the Gulf Coast, Rep. Michelle Salzman and local groups on Saturday morning.

The event distributed 500 backpacks and enough groceries to feed 500 families for one week.
