- ➤ ServisMed LLC pleaded guilty to federal charges for illegally distributing unregistered pesticides during the COVID-19 pandemic—exploiting public fear at its South Palafox Street address and planning exports to Jordan and Saudi Arabia—which led to fines, restitution and the company’s dissolution. - ➤ Fort Barrancas is open to visitors only once a month through August — Gulf Islands National Seashore cut its schedule from five days to one — and after August it will be closed except for those who can view only the exterior of the Advanced Redoubt. Pensacola News Journal

- ➤ Levin Papantonio is offering free legal classes on Monday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. starting September 8th at the Sanders Beach—Corinne Jones Resource Center where Pensacola residents can learn about their legal rights and earn a Certificate of Completion by attending all sessions. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Pensacola applied for $15 million from Triumph Gulf Coast to fund a 58-acre rail-served inland port that will free up crowded space at the downtown seaport, Mayor Reeves said. The project, which will begin design and construction over the next 36 months, is expected to support local manufacturing and create about 334 jobs — offering a boost to the region's industrial capacity.
