Kate Peabody lost her husband in 2015 and her son in 2023 but the Pensacola community helped her through hard times, and she now runs a ministry—The Village Hands—to give clothes, diapers, bedding, and toys to families in need.

Her ministry will hold a winter coat giveaway on Nov. 8 at Jehovah Lutheran Church.

The Florida high school football regular season ended with Pensacola area players showing strong performances—Makael Williams scored five touchdowns while Courtney George rushed for 270 yards in key wins.
