Pensacola food banks, including Manna Food Bank and St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry, are doubling appointments and adjusting supplies (grocery bags growing from 15 to 18 pounds) to meet increased demand.
On Saturday, Pensacola unveiled Rev.

On Monday at 6:15 a.m., crews responded to a fire on West Fisher Street in Brownsville that left three people homeless when an unattended candle set a mobile home and camper ablaze.
Neighbors have repeatedly reported the property—long seen as a nuisance—to authorities and worry the problem will continue without proper action.

The Pensacola News Journal announced that West Florida High School’s Isabella Kirk was named Escambia and Santa Rosa County Student of the Week for Oct.
27-31 after she earned 54.33% of the vote + runner-up Gretchen Lamar received 35.99% while voting for next week begins today.

Escambia County's Natural Resources Conservation Division conducted a prescribed burn in the Jones Swamp Wetland Preserve on November 3 to reduce hazardous fuels over 74 acres—land managers say the burn opens the understory for grasses and small plants.

Pensacola International Airport celebrates its 90th birthday today—reminding us of its start in 1935 when the City Council bought the facility and now marking a new chapter with a groundbreaking for a terminal expansion that will create jobs and support local businesses.
