- ➤ Jarrell’s Wholesale, a family-run business on North Palafox Street, has kept local stores stocked for 50 years by delivering items from phone chargers to beach gear—starting in 1975 when founder Kenneth Jarrell began with one van. The company uses a direct store delivery system for over 3,000 products and now employs more than 30 people in Escambia County—helping local shops compete with big-box retailers. Local Pulse

- ➤ The government shutdown, which has left essential air traffic controllers and TSA officers working without pay since Oct 1, became the longest on record on Nov 5, and Florida airports experienced delays and cancellations. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Eight healthcare professionals and organizations were honored on October 23 at the Jean and Paul Amos Performance Studio in Pensacola by the Escambia and Santa Rosa County Medical Society Foundation for their work in improving patient care.
