- ➤ Gulf Coast Kid’s House received a $100,000 gift from Sandy Sansing and Sandy Sansing Dealerships to fight child abuse as the donation brings Sandy’s total giving to $977,800. The donation will allow the center to expand its in-house mental health and counseling services for over 4,000 children in Escambia County — ensuring ongoing support for child advocacy. - ➤ Grocery Buddy, a program launched last week to help Pensacola families in need, matches neighbors offering grocery support with those who sign up for help. In Northwest Florida, 168 families have been paired and 134 await support as the holidays near—organizers expect more volunteers to join. WEAR-TV
- ➤ Escambia County Public Schools partnered with Manna Food Pantries to launch a holiday food drive that will collect 20,000 pounds of food by Dec. 5 — collection boxes have been placed at all schools and drop-off sites for non-perishable donations. - ➤ Shea Morris launched MenPact in January—a nonprofit that counts nearly 150 members who donate $500 each to fund $10,000 grants for local nonprofits.
