- ➤ On Sunday, hundreds of volunteers at the Pensacola Bay Center assembled more than 500 bikes in four hours for children in need—this annual Bike Build provides bikes, helmets and locks to kids, including those in foster care. Founded nine years ago by Walker Wilson, the event supports Communities Caring at Christmas and will be followed by a Winter Wonder Ride on Dec. 6 to fund next year’s Bike Build. WEAR-TV

- ➤ Ten Pensacola area high school football teams competed in the FHSAA playoffs and Florida Invitational Tournament last week as teams advanced to state regional semifinals and FIT regional finals. Notable players included Makael Williams from Pace, Jamarcuz Fountain from Pensacola, and Ethan Crandall from Pensacola Catholic — they delivered strong performances in key games.
