- ➤ Downtown Improvement Board reports the All I Want Holiday Promotion has already received $73,761.98 in receipts and 8,208 entries as of Dec. 4; shoppers earn an entry for every $10 spent downtown and can participate until Dec. 17 & benefit from daily giveaways. Rick's Blog
- ➤ Earlier this year, Pensacola officials opened New Horizons Village with 14 HUD-funded pallet shelters from Reentry Alliance Pensacola and Offentsive to help residents achieve stability; hygiene trailers and case management are offered, and interviews for the six-month program have begun ahead of planned move-in at early new year. - ➤ Escambia County Public Schools is recruiting 10 new campus security officers for elementary and charter schools; candidates must have law enforcement or military experience and pass background checks (including polygraphs and psychological tests) as training begins in May. - ➤ Officials announced free downtown parking for five months starting January 2026 (to ease traffic during the New Palafox reconstruction) as part of ongoing revitalization efforts in Pensacola. Rick's Blog

- ➤ Studer Family Children's Hospital and Nemours Children's Health have joined forces through their partnership ('Kids Do Better When We Work Together') to let families access coordinated pediatric care on one campus. Patient volume has increased as the new arrangement makes specialist care more convenient for local children and their families. Pensacola News Journal
- ➤ Ascension Sacred Heart opened a state-of-the-art emergency department on Thursday morning on Sorrento Road in Perdido Key (11,000 sqft with two triage areas, a trauma room, nine treatment spaces, CT and x-ray technology, and pharmacy services).
