- ➤ Momentum Church’s Pensacola Campus is hosting Christmas for a Cause, a free concert event with live music, food trucks, and festive holiday activities on Friday, Dec. 12 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (Guests are encouraged to bring donations to support those experiencing homelessness.) - ➤ The 43rd annual Cox Pensacola Christmas Parade (featuring over 50 floats, 42 Krewes and the Blue Angels) will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 13 in downtown Pensacola and include a 1.2 mile dash plus road closures on Tarragona, DeVilliers and Main Streets. Pensacola News Journal

- ➤ Escambia County’s new Myrtle Grove Elementary School now offers 27 classrooms with modern technology and preserved historic features such as a mural wall and repurposed elements from the original building. - ➤ The University of West Florida received reaffirmation of accreditation by SACSCOC and will continue awarding associate, baccalaureate, master’s, educational specialist and doctoral degrees until 2035.
