- ➤ Florida TaxWatch's 2025 report shows Escambia and Santa Rosa counties charge much lower property taxes than average while Pensacola maintained tax growth in line with its population and inflation from 2014 to 2024; despite this, state leaders (Gov. - ➤ Emerald Coast Utilities Authority issued a precautionary boil water notice on Marcus Drive after a six-inch water main broke. Repairs and flushing have been completed, but residents must boil water (or use bleach) until the advisory is lifted in about 48 hours. WEAR-TV
