- ➤ AAA offers its free Tow to Go program to help impaired drivers during the holiday period. The service runs from 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 24 until 6 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 2 (call 855 2-TOW-2-GO) and provides a tow and ride within 10 miles. WEAR-TV
- ➤ Local changemakers received honors at the CivicCon Awards on Dec. 1 for efforts improving neighborhoods, green spaces, and community life (including achievements by Elizabeth Eubanks and Chief Dan Helms). - ➤ Marco's Pizza has applied for a permit to open a new restaurant next year in the former Jimmy B's Pizza building near the Midway Walmart on Gulf Breeze Parkway. County officials are reviewing the application, which would mark the franchise's return to Santa Rosa County since its Pace location closed. Pensacola News Journal

- ➤ Pensacola hosts a week of holiday celebrations, including Sowell Farms’ North Pole light display (Dec. 1 to 25), live blues at Seville Quarter today at 7 p.m. and a Drag Queen Christmas show at Saenger Theatre on Dec. 23. - ➤ Pensacola Mardi Gras will host weekly second line parades from Jan. 6 through Feb. 10 at 5:30 p.m. to support businesses on Palafox Street during the Reimagine Palafox construction. - ➤ Florida Power & Light has listed the 250,000 sqft former Gulf Power headquarters and over 13 acres of waterfront property near downtown for sale, with interested buyers directed to a broker since early December. The asking price has not been disclosed. Pensacola News Journal
