A local couple plans to build an ice skating rink on 2.5 acres off Woodbine Road in Pace.
They submitted plans to Santa Rosa County and expect the rink to open by the end of 2026 so locals can enjoy hockey, figure skating, and family events.

Otaku Japanese Cuisine opened on Dec.
24 at 1741 E. Nine Mile Road, replacing the former Nori Japanese Sushi & Grill. The anime-themed restaurant offers a limited menu with creative dishes + a 10% discount during its soft opening phase.

Pensacola-area high school teams will compete in several holiday tournaments from Dec.
27 to Dec. 30, with Gulf Breeze hosting the Innisfree Hotels Beach Basketball Tournament (the only local event) while others travel to Mobile, Gulf Shores, Fort Walton Beach, and beyond.
