- ➤ Trinity Barnett—an art teacher at Blue Angels Elementary—has been named Escambia County Teacher of the Year. She will now compete for the state award while county celebrations continue next week. WEAR-TV
- ➤ Booker T. Washington High principal Richard Shackle received the Florida TaxWatch Principal Leadership Award on Friday, recognizing his leadership at a high risk K12 public school and letting him nominate a student for a two-year college scholarship.
