- ➤ Hour Deli opened at 11 Palafox Place in downtown Pensacola after replacing The Nest, offering specialty sandwiches, craft coffee and tea and market goods for both dine-in and online orders—its official grand opening is planned for April 18 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Pensacola News Journal

- ➤ State Rep. Alex Andrade held a heated committee meeting on April 9 and later released a podcast where he said that $10M from a Centene settlement was wrongly sent to the Hope Florida Foundation instead of returned to state coffers. - ➤ Pensacola lawmaker Alex Andrade began a probe after reports showed that a $10M settlement to the Hope Florida Foundation was used to fund groups opposing a recreational pot amendment—actions that may have breached state law requiring settlement funds to go back to general revenue.
