- ➤ A 24-year-old Pensacola man was charged with murder, firing a weapon in public, and weapon possession by a convicted felon after a fatal shooting occurred outside 8Fifty Event Center in Escambia County on Saturday morning around 2:30 a.m.—the sheriff’s office is seeking two witnesses. WEAR-TV

- ➤ The University of West Florida placed second in the 2024 CAE-CD Community Outreach Award Competition—an honor given for its cybersecurity outreach programs announced during the symposium in Charleston from April 8-10.
