- ➤ On April 25, a large crowd gathered on Perdido Key for Flora-Bama's annual Mullet Toss where families from Atlanta + Houston took turns throwing fish that flew across the sands while volunteers measured each throw. Pensacola News Journal
- ➤ Pensacola Plantapalooza will take place on May 3 at Gary's Brewery & Biergarten and is expected to draw thousands as over 50 vendors offer indoor, outdoor, tropical and rare plants along with handmade pots and natural items, while local food trucks serve food. Pensacola News Journal
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The 40th annual Pensacola Crawfish Festival kicked off Friday as locals and visitors gathered to enjoy large crawfish while vendors prepared for a busy weekend. Jeff and Cindy Alleman traveled from Louisiana to try the local flavors and Jack Heaney from Cordova Crawfish said vendors plan to cook 16 to 18 hundred pounds per hour at peak times. FOX 10
