- ➤ Three Pensacola men—Michael Polnitz Jr., Kaleb Bonner and Antonio Larkins—were indicted on first-degree felony murder charges for allegedly shooting 20-year-old Andrew Sanders in the head on April 24, and they now face life in prison if convicted. Pensacola News Journal
- ➤ A 28-year-old man—Jackie Washington—was arrested Tuesday after a high-speed chase that ended when his car hit a fence and he fled on foot, with deputies recovering 892 grams of methamphetamine, 11 grams of marijuana, and a firearm from his vehicle. WEAR-TV

- ➤ For 30 years, Boogie Inc. has provided sound for the Pensacola Beach Red, White and Blues Air Show by playing music and making key announcements that keep the event safe and fun. - ➤ Pensacola Lighthouse now shows Hart’s Hammock, a new exhibit that tells the stories of Black families like the Harts, Wingates, and Morris who gained success after the Civil War. Curator Olaf Talbert said the exhibit has panels and a replica home — with plans to add more finds from surveys — that show how work at the lighthouse and Navy Yard helped build lasting stability. - ➤ Residents in Pensacola must follow a longstanding city rule that bans most fireworks—violators risk having their displays confiscated if neighbors complain—while those in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties can legally set off fireworks on Fourth of July if they adhere to noise ordinances. - ➤ The Santa Rosa Island Authority is adding free trolley and bus rides for the Pensacola Beach Air Show on July 11 and 12 to ease traffic and help passengers travel from Park East and Park West to the show center at Casino Beach — riders can board and disembark only at marked stops.
