Voting today? Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. across Northwest Florida, and if you're in line at 7 p.m., you can still vote. Escambia and Santa Rosa set midterm records for in-person early voting, the most for a midterm since Florida started early voting in 2004.

Escambia Supervisor of Elections Robert Bender said the county's turnout is about 31%, against roughly 38% statewide. If Election Day matches 2022, he said, Escambia lands near 56%, but more than 56,000 voters would top the 61% record set in 2018. About 151,000 residents across Escambia, Santa Rosa and Okaloosa have already voted.

The Wrap

Pensacola is about to get a lot of soccer. The SEC women's soccer tournament returns to Ashton Brosnaham Athletic Park Nov. 8-15, with the top 12 teams in the conference playing for the title. It's the fifth straight year Escambia County has hosted the tournament. Five years running? Looks like we've got the home-field touch.
