If you're still sorting out storm damage, start at 3200 W. Desoto St. The Brownsville Community Center opened Wednesday as a Disaster Multi-Agency Resource Center, or DMARC. It's open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, starting today.
FEMA, the State Emergency Response Team and the Small Business Administration are staffed there. FEMA representatives are relocating to Brownsville, and WEAR reports the site won't have the additional agencies seen at Escambia County's earlier locations.
Business owners have another option. The SBA is offering federal disaster loans for areas hit by Isaias, and FOX10 reports on the Brownsville center's staffing as well.
- Eligible counties: Bay, Escambia, Holmes, Gulf, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Walton, Washington
- Loan types: physical damage and Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL)
- Who can apply: homeowners, renters, small businesses, private nonprofits
